The exact method of saving download files varies by browser type and browser version number.
If you are having trouble starting the download or saving the download file, please try the following suggestions. These suggestions work on most versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape.
Microsoft Internet Explorer Users:
Message: "ERROR LOCATING OBJECT HANDLER or NO VIEWER AVAILABLE"
What Next?
When using the left mouse button to select the download if you see an error message saying ERROR LOCATING OBJECT HANDLER or NO VIEWER AVAILABLE, then an ALTERNATIVE way to start the download is:
Use the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON instead to select the download link.
This brings up a menu.
Select the "SAVE TARGET AS" option.
Save the download file using the file extension of zip (eg: filename.zip).
Netscape Users:
Message: UNKNOWN FILE TYPE.
What Next?
Some Netscape versions may show a dialog box indicating UNKNOWN FILE TYPE when you select the download link with the LEFT mouse button. If this occurs, then:
Select the SAVE FILE option from that dialog box, rather than the other options such as "PICK APP".
An ALTERNATIVE way to start the download is to use the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON to select the download link rather than the LEFT mouse button.
This will bring up a menu.
Select the "SAVE LINK AS" option.
Save the download file using the file extension of zip (eg: filename.zip).
